I have employed various printmaking techniques to create work investigating how I interact with my own identity. Using everyday scenes and objects in my artwork reflects my own thoughts on different aspects of cultural and social identity while also being recognizable and allowing the viewer to engage as well. Growing up in a multiethnic household has presented many interesting experiences especially in regards to identity. In my artwork I like to investigate various aspects of my identity such as how every day things, such as common objects or food, affect how I interact with my own identity and people around me. In recent pieces I have experimented with everyday scenes and how common objects can give insight into someone’s identity.
